The Office of Ambulatory Care (OAC) is responsible for the overall management of the Department's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Program, which includes the development of Requests for Proposals, contract management, monitoring and development, claim adjudication, and program planning and evaluation.

Community Health Plan currently provides health care coverage for individuals and families through the Plan's Medi-Cal Managed Care Program. The Healthy Families Program is available for children up to their 19th birthday. The Plan also has two commercial product lines. It provides health care coverage for In-Home Supportive Services workers through the PASC-SEIU Homecare Workers Health Care Plan , and coverage for eligible Los Angeles County Temporary Employees Program .

The EMS Agency is responsible for coordinating the county's emergency medical services system which includes hospitals, fire departments, and ambulance companies. The agency works with both the private and public sectors to bring paramedic coverage to our county's more than 10 million residents and visitors. It is a division of the L.A. County Department of Health Services.
